Observation on UN millennium development goal and responsibly of world leaders under present vulnerable and volatile global political scenario.

Dear Friend

We have gone through the UN Secretary General's report “ In Larger Freedom: Towards Security, Development and Human Rights for All" with a view to achieve millennium development goal.

We welcome the present effort for holding discussion on it in the ensuing UNGA. However, political situation prevailing across the world do not allow us to be optimistic. The present world cannot get rid of all these chronic problems until and unless the richest countries do not change their attitudes towards poor nations. Moreover, the invasion of richer nations in different countries in the name of curbing terrorism and communal problems cannot bring peace in the world at all, rather it will accelerate the downfall of the richest countries.

We the members of the UN bodies and conscious citizens of the world cannot allow any nation further to violate the UN Charter. Regret to say, we the present world with turbulent political problems cannot accommodate any more double standard for the use of nuclear and other arms. The nuclear bomb, which destroyed Hiroshima Nagasaki and made colossal damage to human souls, is still a great threat to world peace and the civilization. We believe, nuclear disarmament across the world is not possible if the super power do not destroy their own nuclear stock pile at first: putting pressure on small nations from nuclear programmers would remain as a farce if the super powers do not give up their programme as well. If UN really want to establish world peace, it must set a common standard for all, otherwise Universal Declaration of Human Rights would be violated that right shorten the longivity of UN.

Moreover, under the present situation UN affiliated NGOs are unable to work for poor countries in real terms as the UN, which is controlled by the richest nations, contribute a little for their development. Under the present condition it seems that UN is a pet organizationon of super powers as it cannot welcome third world countries representative in general to attend programme being held in New York, Geneva & Vienna - the UN has failed to maintain any relation with the consulates of there countries. As a result, these consulates dare to reject visa concerning UN programme. If it continues, the UN's millennium development goal can never be achieved. And if UN doesn't take the matter seriously & fails to take independent step, the new UN Secretary General H.E. Mr. Ban Kl- Moon shall not be able to work properly for UN. So, Charter of the UN &Universal Declaration of Human Rights would be violated badly as these coagulates have become a barrier to civil societies & NGOs to work for UN. In fact, the UN itself is responsible for this.Because UN has failed to convince these consulates about its importance to them. The main responsibility goes to the present Secretary General H.E.Mr. Kofi Annan

Thus the Secretary General has failed to implement the programme like “ In Larger Freedom: Towards Security, Development and Human Rights for All" with a view to achieve millennium development goal. Particularly, the existing UN's Human Rights Commission is not working for human beings. Because it is being dictated by the richest countries since its launching. Thus, it has become a backboneless organ like the UN itself.

So, if we really want to do something, in the name of millennium development, we have to solve the problems of poor nations. In other words, we warn that if the richer nations do not take into cognizance all these inhuman activities --including aggression and manipulation of UN power-- the present UN would be under serious threat.

Whatsoever, we once again greet the UN and UN Secretary General for the present programme initiative and hope the richer nations would extend their wholehearted cooperation towards UN in real terms. They must understand that manipulating UN would not bring good result for them. So I hope the super powers would rethink about their destructive role and try to change attitude towards poor nations not only for world peace, but also for their own existence.

Therefore, I as a representative of UN NGOs as well as a spiritual leader warn that if the UN dominated by super powers without any further delay fail to understand the agony of the repressed nations, the world peace would be under serious threat which ultimately would damage the UN and the super powers as well as the peoples of these countries including USA, France, Russia, China, UK and Germany .Once again, I call upon all including super powers to stand on a common platform to take clear and non-destructive step to bring world peace. I through my organization as the well UN NGOs extend all out cooperation towards building a better society in the new millennium.
